It’s the Season, we’re looking around our property and eager to whip up some holiday cheer to jazz up the place. Maybe it’s some garland and lights, or just some fresh touches of red interspersed around. Here are five super simple upgrades that you can use on your front door to give it an inviting, festive Holiday spirit – and for less than $25!
1) A Coat Of Paint
Interesting what a fresh coat of paint can do, and the front door should stand out. The nice thing about this is paint is easy to change! Consider upgrading to a festive red door or a nice glossy black. These will help your home standout and will create a lovely backdrop and accent for your holiday decor.
2) A Wreath Inspired By Your Landscape
Buy an inexpensive wreath ( $12.00 or less) and fill with cut aways from your garden – hydrangea blooms, pine cones, boxwood and other twigs. Make little bunches with floral wire and secure to the base of the wreath. Add some of your favorite ornaments – Sabine loves her angles and house ornaments from her first real estate office. Make a bow and voila.
3) New Lighting
Consider some new lighting to brighten up your front door. Make the switch to LED with the purchase of one bulb ($10.00) – you’ll see the improvement in light quality instantly.
4) Fill Planters with Winter Greens
Refresh a nearby basket or planter with fresh pine branches. No need to buy any – just go to a place where Christmas Trees are sold. They will have lot’s of great pine branches from tree trimmings.
5) Add Some Twinkle To Your Planters
Add a strand of LED Christmas lights ($7.99) into your planter or add simple, inexpensive solar lights($19.99) to your planter for cheerful extra light at night.
Enjoy being creative and giving your home that special festive touch.
