Monica Hart Interior Design
-I grew up in the cozy little town of Karlstad, MN. I graduated from NDSU in 1997 with a BS degree in Interior Design. My first job out of college was at the NDSU Alumni Association (Go Bison!). My internship and first design job was at Ste. Marie Design, a hospitality firm, where I was employed for 4 years until the Fargo office closed. I found employment with a builder where I discovered a love of residential design and new construction. While working for a design center, I was the lead designer on the 2006 and 2007 Charity Homes that benefitted the Roger Maris Cancer Center. These various positions gave me the experience needed to realize my dream of owning my own business! I think, for any parent, balancing work and home life is a difficult juggling act. While I love being an interior designer, I love being a mom more. Owning my own business gives me the flexability to do both!
Various organizations I am active in include NDID (North Dakota Interior Designers), the FMWF Chamber and the FM Home Builders Association where I am a member of the Parade Of Homes committee and serve on the board for Home Builders Care. I also enjoy being a scripture reader, communion server and confirmation guide at our church, Hope Lutheran. Outside of work and activities, I love being with my family including my husband, Phil, and our 3 sons ages 15, 11 and 6. My great crew of boys! When we aren’t running to school, or sporting events (hockey and dance), I enjoy reading a book or a magazine and look forward to a trip or two each year. Life is busy and I love it that way!
